Welcome back, I hope everyone had a wonderful winter break. Our next unit in math is focusing on pattern. It will take about 2 to 3 weeks to complete.  Our main learning expectations are the following:

  • determine and extend pattern rules for repeating, growing and shrinking patterns
  • make predictions and identify missing elements in repeating, growing, and shrinking  patterns 
  • create and translate repeating, growing , and shrinking patterns using using different representations
  • create patterns to show relationships between whole numbers and decimal hundredths
